Johnny White was the original owner/driver starting in the spring of 1959. The wooden Black Magic, an International hull was used to make a mold to create a fiberglass hull. The fiberglass hull was 140 lbs. heavier than the wood hull and was not really competitive, so only 3 were made. The boat was campaigned in the southeastern USA and participated in the Orange Bowl Regatta in Florida. |
