motor Four cylinder - Stock 1971 Pinto 2000cc / 122CID Stock engine per class rules: .040" over bore, balanced & blueprinted. Cylinder head milled slightly and cc'd to 46cc. Stock camshaft and points ignition. Pump gas running through stock two barrel carb. Turns 7500 RPM through custom header. Machine work by The Able Co. of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Motor built by owner. (Originally ran 144cid 6cyl. Ford Falcon also stock per class rules).

Joe G. Schulte ran as 44-S first few years, then S-44. Did not register in 1974 and lost the number. Ran as S-441 for 1975 then finally S-55 in 1976 and 1977.
