The 2005 Schedule of Vintage
Events is posted. Please note - The Vintage
Hydroplanes server has increased storage capacity significantly. If you
have been following the last few updates, you may have noticed that I am
posting larger photographs. Sorry to all those folks still using dial up
connections, but I will be building the website from here on out with an
eye toward's the future when bandwidth/connection speed will not be an
issue as it is today. (This page will take a few minutes to fully load
for you folks still using dial up connections, including me at home).
-
With many of these plywood raceboats
being stored in cold storage, I copied a technical article titled, "Preventing
veneer checks" and added it to the technical articles section.
(Quick note - We've all probably seen these cracks on both veneered and
solid lumber. The article was written for mfg's of wood products, but I
thought I would present the information anyway).

It was brought to my attention
that an old For Sale/Wanted board was still out there & some
of you were still posting ads to it. My thanks to the folks at the server
(Network 54) for helping me get the ads from that old For Sale & Wanted
board over to the only
one we have now. I also removed those annoying pop up ads on that board.
My apologies to anyone who may have been affected by this mistake. Remember,
posting your ads on the board is free.

I have eliminated the old BOATS
FOR SALE/WANTED and PARTS FOR SALE/WANTED format that has been on the website
for the last few years. A FORUM
is REPLACING those 2 pages. If you have an ad you want to run for selling
or buying a vintage boat or parts, there is no need to wait for me to get
around to posting your ad. I have the board set up to allow photos to be
placed with your post/ad. HTML formatting is also enabled on this board.
So if you know how to use that, you can make your ad very impressive if
you are inclined to do so. My apologies to anybody who had ads currently
running on the old webpages. You will need to post them to the new board
if you wish to continue advertising through this website. Contact me if
you need help.
-
I have ceased proactively soliciting
additional sponsors. My sincere thanks to the guys who were quick to rise
to the occasion to help me offset some of the expenses to keeping this
website on the internet. You guys are the best!

get you one if any are left. Thanks to everyone who was kind enough to
buy a few to help me out. It really meant alot to me!
