It's Spring 2005 and I left the comforts
of the South Florida beaches to go to Cortland (Boat Yard in the Woods),
N.Y. and continue work on my project.
I spent two weeks and made a lot of progress, to the point that I can
say the boat and trailer are now 95% complete.
Unfortunately, the engine is not coming along as quickly as hoped,
but it's tough to control a situation from 1200 miles away!
Keith and I focused on scraping, sanding, priming, and painting the
trailer. I also built a small utility box and mounted it on one rear platform.
Keith found 2 old 5 gallon gas cans for the other side. All that's
left is for Keith to rewire the lights, and put reflectors on it, hopefully
before I return again.
On the hull, I have installed the new fuel tank, new upholstery, new
dash gauges, and put the steering wheel (original) back on.
I painted the numbers, name, and trim colors and attached a few decals
to both the hull and trailer.
Note that I've put the website's decal very visably on my trailer.
Also in the hull, I replaced the little balls in the transom that are
the bailer plugs, operated from the driver's seat.

Happy Kid With His "New" Toy.....
I am pleased with the outcome, and now even more anxious to get her
in the water!
Unfortunately, my expectations have far outreached my finances and
I find that I cannot complete the job nor take her anywhere this season.
I'm dissapointed, but that's life...There's always tomorrow!
