Bill McKnight and his race boats

I built, owned, and drove inboard hydros out of Red Bank, New Jersey from 1966 to 1980. I competed in the 44 hydro, 850cc hydro, and 145 hydro classes. I began my racing career behind the wheel of a Jersey Speed Skiff in 1965. I built my 44 hydro from plans by Horace Burgard, my 850 was a 1967 Sooy, my 145 was a late 1950's Lloyd. I rebuilt a 1946 Morlan Visel 48ci in 1974 and raced it one time. I am now retired and live in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I currently own & am restoring a Lloyd hydroplane.
