1966 Miss Bardahl
My involvment started in the late 1950's
racing 5 hp J class runabout up through an occasional race in my dad's
D Stock hydro.
My dad and Ron Musson started racing together
in the late 1950's. A 10-hp Mercury hurricane and a Sid Craft boat were
their lake racers. In the early 1960's, they both co-owned for a short
period of time, Chromium and Chromate (a 135 and 266), one
or both of which were US-1's. As the story goes, I think I recall that
one of those boats may have been a Wa Wa. I would sure love to know.
Also, I would love to know if the Wa Wa I have in my posession is
indeed a scale Wa Wa or was it a forerunner to my Dad's inboards.
I have tried to make contact about the
hull, but to no avail.
This is a scratch built scale Lauterbach
that should be in a museum somewhere, if not the lobby of the Lauterbach
factory.
