In 1967 the Canadiana Racing Team had
dissolved and the Royal Canadiana was sold to Jean Piquet who called
her Miss Quebec.
With Art Asbury driving, they won the
Canadian National Championship in l967.
-
In 1967 - sold to Jean Piquette in 1967 who
renamed it Miss Quebec.
-
In 1969 - Paul Sparrow bought the Miss
Quebec and changed it back to her original name Royal Canadiana.
-
After that it was sold to Don McDonald (I
think) and it was named Color Flame?
-
It may have changed ownership again before
his father and other members bought it in the late 70's or early 80's.
I am not 100% certain of these dates so they
are somewhat of a guideline to the history of the boat.
If you can help me nail down some of the
historical dates, I would appreciate it.
I hope to rebuild the Royal Canadiana
#22 to how it looks in the 1965 Valleyfield photograph above.
