The Vintage Hydroplanes & Race Boats featured on this web site

The boats are divided into 3 categories and seperated by classes. Each category is listed alphabetically by one of the most unique facets of any motorsports. The race boats were given names!

HISTORICAL
As you read through the bios of these antique, vintage & historic racing boats, a shared item becomes evident - they all seem to have a very rich history. The fact that most of these racing hulls had many owner, drivers, names and class changes in their racing career underscores all the fun boat racing gave to their past owners. Some of these boats had distinguished careers by winning Divisional, National or High Points Championships or set a competition or straightaway speed record. Some of these boats may have never even won a race.

PRESENT
The dedication to keeping these old racing boats going & pride of ownership is very much reflected in the work by their owners today. You will note painstakingly detailed restorations on these old racing hulls. A few of these boats were beyond restoration & were totally rebuilt from scratch. Some of the original hulls don't exist today & are being replicated by new owners. And there are a few that appear in as-raced condition.
