To be completed and signed by the Safety Inspector for every hull at every sanctioned event

Inspection Criteria:

 

ð   Helmets – Must be current racing type and bright orange/red/yellow in color

ð   Life Jackets – Must be racing type construction

ð   Drivers Suit (And all passengers) – Long sleeves, long pants and close toed shoes

ð   Hull Condition – Acceptable condition of frames, stringers, seams, floatation, etc.

ð   Prop Shaft Collar – Or setup to prevent shaft from moving rearward

ð   Kill Switch – Wired and connected to life jacket

ð   Steering – Acceptable condition of cables, pulleys and chain

ð   Safety wired turnbuckle

ð   Dash connection (nuts, bolts, etc.)  

ð   Rudder and Bracket – Acceptable condition with minimal play in rudder post

ð   Skid Fin – Acceptable condition with proper structural mounting

ð   Shaft Connections – Acceptable condition of intermediate/rear strut and shaft log

ð   Lock nuts, cotter pins, etc.

ð   Proper mounting, secure coupling/gear box attachment and bearings

ð   Lifting Slings – Date tagged and load rated every 3 years.  Secure lifting points

ð   Motor Mounts – Acceptable structural integrity

ð   Secondary throttle return spring - Present

ð   Fuel Tank – Proper mounting and venting

ð   Fuel Lines – Secured and safe.  Mounted to hull

ð   Passed or ð Rejected-Reason______________________________________
