Limited & Unlimited Class
35mm archival information for sale
My name it Ned Crimmin, son of Eileen Crimmin, who along with Bob Carver formed one of the best, if not the best and most successful sports writing/photography teams in the world during the 1960's through the late 1970's. I have just completed the saving and scanning of over 3500 slides and photos of the Unlimited hydroplanes, boats, drivers, crews, owners, pit scenes, races, etc. These images have never been seen. They have been stored away in our home from the 1960's. Recently, I took these images to the opening of the new Hydroplane & Race Boat Museum in Kent, WA and everyone was blown away by the crispness, clearess, beauty, quality, and closeness Mom got to the boats. There were drivers and builders in attendance that were just amazed at what is now available in regards to the 1960's Unlimited Hydroplanes and people of that era that made the boats go.

UNLIMITED CLASS CD CATALOG
The Unlimited Hydroplane Collection is a compilation of 1180 images, of the almost 3500 available on a CD disc catalog that anyone can purchase and download onto their computer for reference.  This CD disc is done at a low resolution & jpeg format, so blowing up or printing will not result in a good copy. There are about 172 different hydros accounted for on this disc, some only have one image and others have many.  Also on this disc are all the laminated collector baseball size cards that were developed for this project.  By no means is this all of the hydros there are, but it does give a really good cross section of what is available through this project for the benefit of the fans. The usefullness of this CD catalog is that you can really see the quality of the prints, and if there are any questions about quality, or if there are more photos in the collection all you have to do is call or e-mail me.

ENTIRE CRIMMIN HYDROPLANE HISTORICAL DATA BASE
It is ALL the written material Mom saved from the years of covering the hydros and all boat racing.  Correspondence, letters, Christmas cards, notes, memos, some limited programs, a few unlimited programs, draft articles, some photos, unlimited races, Harmsworth races from 1903, over 400 drivers lists, lots of information, plus 80 lbs. of cut out newspaper clippings that run form the early 1950's - 1980's, almost every article about the hydros, from the Seattle papers and some from other papers. The data base is now well over 200 races, at least 80 or more programs with the races. Also other donated material, IE:  the Harmsworth Collection. For those who have purchased or future puchasers, please continue to check with me for updates to this data base. There will be a charge for updates to cover time, materials, and postage.
You can buy the entire data base or just whatever section you want. IE: Steve Compton for Vashon Unlimiteds purchased, on disc, all the material on the 1955 Miss Thriftway they are building and his comment to me was that it was the best $58.00 he had ever spent. Almost 160 articles on her. Then you can add to it yourself it you want.  So you can take articles you have save, photos, anything and slip it into date order either in the data base or the disc you download of what section you ordered.
