Ouragan

The boat name is Ouragan.
It's a 3 stepped, conventional racing hydro, the same as the Rafale you see in 2002 Retronautique.
My friend Herve and I will get to restore this 1930's built boat here on the old continent and this one is especially interesting.

The interesting historical point is that this boat was propelled by the an airplane engine and airplane propeller (no prop in the water, but a very big prop on a sort of "eiffel tower"), with a chain between the engine - a Hispano Suiza V8 rated @ 250 hp. We are looking for photos of this boat when it ran with that configuration.

The length of the hull is about 9 meters, and the width is about 2.5 meters.

A very big boat that was raced in the unlimited (not for long) category. I will send more pictures as the restoration is going to begin. The current owner wants us restore it using the more conventional method of a prop in the water.
